Habana Village, 2nd Floor
Washington, D.C.
6-8:30 pm

Come and join us at the inaugural "Let's End Colonialism Together" Series: A Meetup with Progressive Puerto Rican Women

This is a joint effort between Boricuas Unidos en la Diáspora (BUDPR) and the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) to create ties of solidarity between Puerto Ricans and American progressive in our fight to end colonialism.

We will have an informal panel presentation with the leadership of BUDPR, DSA, and members of the Puerto Rican Junte de Mujeres: Mariana Nogales, María de Lourdes Guzmán, and Wilma Reverón. They will discuss the objectives of their trip to Washington, D.C., future efforts and ways to collaborate together, as well as current events on the Island and what to expect from the 2020 General Elections in Puerto Rico.

The event will take place on the 2nd floor of Habana Village. Drinks and food available for purchase.

Join us to learn more about Puerto Rico's struggles, engage and network with fellow Boricuas and progressives in the DC area, and learn how you can you get involved.

Come eat some good Latin food, have some drinks, and if you want to stay until late, dance to Latin music!
