Join Boricuas Unidos en la Diáspora (BUDPR) for an evening of conversation and music, as we discuss the politics and protests in Bad Bunny's music.

Puerto Rican megastar Benito Martínez Ocasio, known as Bad Bunny, is one of the most popular and influential musicians in the world. His songs and music videos uplift Puerto Rico's culture, identity, and past and present political struggles. His latest album, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, and his ongoing 30-show residency in Puerto Rico present a vision for the island's political future.

In this panel, led by Colorado-based Puerto Rican activists Alberto Medina and Modesta McGrath-Martínez, we'll break down the messages in Bad Bunny's lyrics, the symbolism in his videos, and the connections to Puerto Rico's colonial history and contemporary reality. And, of course, we'll listen to some songs together!

This event, co-hosted by Flamboyán Theatre, is free and open to the public. RSVP to save your spot and receive a reminder!
